Business Development Director

What you'll do: 

Execute CCS's three strategic pillars: Partnership Model, Geographic Discipline, and Market Diversification. Focus on early engagement, ideal projects, and long-term referral-driven relationships. 

Build and Nurture Relationships: 

  • Cultivate trusted relationships with owners, architects, designers, community leaders, trader partners, and referral sources to generate business. 

Expand Markets and Geographies

  • Identify and pursue opportunities that align with CCS's distance, project size, and partnership-fit criteria to support disciplined growth. 

Lead Marketing and Brand Presence 

  • Own marketing strategy and execution - content, collateral, website, social media, events, and industry engagement that strengthen our brand and visibility. 

Manage Pipeline and Performance 

  • Use CRM to manage leads, track key indicators, set goals, and report on results that drive measurable growth. 

Represent CCS

  • Actively represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade associations while publicizing achievements and community involvement. 

What you bring: 

  • 5-10+ years of experience in construction project management or business development (GC experience preferred)
  • Proven success managing complex B2B sales cycles (6-18 months)
  • Builder-type leader who thrives as a hands-on individual contributor
  • Strong strategic judgement to pursue the right opportunities and decline the wrong ones  
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills 
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business or related field (engineering experience preferred)
